Why is the city paying more for MCED this year?
We talked to Crawfordsville Mayor Todd Barton after the city approved the MCED first quarter contract. Here is his answer.
"We are pleased with the progress we have seen. I think we are on the right track. We were not adequately funding MCED. We want to be equal partners. A lot of measures are in place (for the city to get updates)."
What can you tell me about the new no left turn sign in front of McDonald's on U.S. 231 S.?
We spoke with the Crawfordsville District of INDOT this week for a story on the sign and here is what Communications Director Debbie Calder had to say.
"There is no left turn southbound on U.S. 231 (at the McDonald's entrance)," Calder said. "It's hazardous for drivers, backing up traffic into the (South Boulevard) intersection."
She added that the sign is only temporary at this point. They will evaluate it after McDonald's and Long John Silver's move locations.
