Look for expanded Healthy Living Center

The staff and physicians at Franciscan St. Elizabeth Health - Crawfordsville have been busy providing quality care and expanding our services, as well as building services around the concept of population health.
In Indiana, we have high rates of diabetes, heart failure and COPD (Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease). We are looking at expanding our Franciscan Healthy Living Center model to Montgomery County, which will help to further improve the lives of patients who have those chronic diseases.
As part of helping with chronic diseases, we opened our Advanced Wound Healing Center in May. We have had such demand for this service that we are in the process of expanding the hours of the center, as well as installing new equipment.
In addition to chronic disease management, we are exploring new models for a pain center and a breast center.
We welcome Dr. Joshua Krumenacker, family medicine, to Franciscan Physician Network's Northside Family Medicine. Dr. Krumenacker will finish his residency on July 1 in Indianapolis and then start full-time in Crawfordsville on July 15.
Franciscan St. Elizabeth Health - Crawfordsville and Franciscan Physician Network are proud to sponsor the Montgomery County 4-H Fair. On Saturday, July 19, we will be at the Exhibit Hall from noon to 6 p.m. offering free cholesterol and glucose screenings, as well as blood pressure checks. We are excited to sponsor the 4-H Color Run as well.
On Saturday, Sept. 13, we will host a "Community Day" at the hospital. We will offer free screenings, food, a kids' zone and more. A large group of employees have been working on this since spring, and I am excited for this event.
Finally, we celebrated our volunteers for their years of service to the hospital with a special luncheon on June 27. Thank you to all of our volunteers for all that you do for the hospital and the community!
