Time running out for MUFFY outing

The annual MUFFY drive kicks off, or perhaps I should say tees off, officially next Wednesday, the 18th with a luncheon and a charity golf scramble. Pace Dairy is one of the good guys involved in providing main support, and a lot of other businesses have chipped in as well.
Two cents, which is about how much Timmons said his columns are worth, appears periodically on Tuesdays in The Paper. Timmons is the publisher of The Paper and can be contacted at firstname.lastname@example.org.
You can, too.
If you want to play golf and help non-profits here, sign up asap because there are a limited number of spots left. The cost is only $60 per golfer. That includes lunch, green fees and a cart. If you're at all like me, the cart comes in handy with errant tee shots, bad irons and booted putts . . . if you think I'm kidding about the putts, you haven't seen me play golf.
How do you sign up? Easy. Surf over to www.muffy.org and sign up. Web challenged? Call the MUFFY office, 362-5484. Still want it easier? Aw heck, call me and I'll get you fixed up.
There is a deadline fast approaching. It's Monday. Thing is, you can even show up on the 18th. Don't know, but it'll probably cost you more then. Why gamble? Sign up today.
Seriously, the need has never been greater. It's been a rough few years for the good folks who help those who are struggling. If you golf, this is a great way to give back and have a little fun. I hope to see you out there.
