Session will have to move quickly on issues
Sunday, January 12, 2014 9:00 PM
This week, the Indiana General Assembly returned to the Statehouse for the 2014 legislative session.
By law, session must end by March 14, so a variety of issues will move rapidly through the Senate. Here are some of the topics that my colleagues and I will be working on this session:
>> Improving Indiana's tax climate to create the best environment for employers to hire Hoosiers.
>> Continuing efforts to streamline Indiana's criminal code to decrease the burden on taxpayers while ensuring the highest level of public safety.
>> Helping determine what academic standards are best for our children and schools.
I will continue to update you throughout session on these and other important legislative issues.
Please share your thoughts and opinions on important issues facing Indiana by completing my 2014 legislative survey. It can be found by visiting http://www.indianasenaterepublicans.com/senators/ and clicking on the photo.
It's an honor to represent you in the Indiana Senate. Please contact me any time:
