The Montgomery County Commissioners voted Monday morning to amend their wind farm ordinance.

County Attorney Dan Taylor said that the ordinance amends the current ordinance, making companies who install wind farms have to follow stricter guidelines for repairing county roads following construction.

Commissioner Phil Bane previously said that Auko Energy has approached the county about constructing a wind farm consisting of more than 80 units for the first phase of the project on land north of Linden.

The ordinance passed 3-0 without discussion from the commissioners. The ordinance was introduced at their previous meeting.
