Four hundred CEL&P customers were left without power Wednesday morning shortly after 9 a.m. when a vehicle took down the power lines behind the Montgomery County Courthouse, said Phil Goode, manager of CEL&P.

The identity of the driver was not immediately known.

Goode said power was restored to about 380 of those customers without 25 minutes but it took as long as two hours to restore power to the rest of the affected customers in downtown Crawfordsville.
