South Montgomery Schools Assistant Eric Brewer said that the school corporation has not been contacted by the FBI in connection with the search for two men with a connection to a New Market.

"We don't know if it is New Market, Ind., or New Market, Ore.," Brewer said Wednesday.

He said that the school corporation has been in contact with school administrators and officials with the youth basketball program.

"We do not recognize that shirt," he said. Brewer was refering to the yellow T-shirt with "New Market Basketball" written on it.

The FBI announced Tuesday that they are seeking the public's assistance to help identify two unknown individuals who may be able to provide valuable details regarding the identity of a child victim in an ongoing sexual exploitation investigation.

Montgomery County Sheriff Mark Casteel said Tuesday that the FBI had not contacted his department.

Brewer said Wednesday that Casteel called the school corporation after talking to The Paper.

The sexually explicit images of the child were first recorded by the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC) in February of 2003 and are still being circulated in numerous child pornography forums across the Internet.

Clues gathered from images, including a yellow T-shirt containing the outline of a basketball, together with the written text "New Market Basketball," have led to the belief that the individuals with whom the FBI would like to speak might possibly have a connection to one of the following facilities and/or areas:

New Market Elementary School, Ind.; New Market, Iowa; New Market Elementary School, Md.; East New Market, Md.; New Market, Va.; New Market Sports Camp, Va.; New Market Elementary School, Ala.; New Market Elementary School, Tenn.; New Market Township, Minn.; New Market Township, Ohio; New Market, N.C.

Also visible in some of the images is a home with what appears to be yellow siding and an above-ground swimming pool. If recognized, these items could lead to the demographic location of the abused child.

The identity and whereabouts of these two individuals are currently unknown.

The first individual (John Doe 23) is described as a white male, likely between the ages of 25 and 35, with dark hair and glasses.

The second individual (John Doe 24) is described as a white male, likely between the ages of 35 and 45, with dark hair.

The FBI is seeking to locate these individuals because it appears they have been in contact with the victim and can assist with identifying and locating the child.

No charges have been filed in this case, and the pictured individuals are presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.
