Lt. Detective Rick Wilson (right) receives his retirement badge from Crawfordsville Police Chief Mike Norman during a celebration Wednesday afternoon at the Crawfordsville Police Department. Wilson is retiring after nearly 41 years on the force, 36 years as a detective. In addition to receiving his gold badge, Wilson gave gifts to various people he has worked with including former Chief Kurt Knecht, detectives Bob Rivers, David Long, A.J. Rice, Jason Spires and to Norman, thanking all his co-workers and family for their support. Norman said Wilson has taught members of the force two lessons over the years: "You catch people by other people" and "People are creatures of habit."
