This summer has been great for area gardens but have you been pulling your hair out trying to find ways to get rid of it all. If this is your experience, Purdue Extension and Montgomery County Extension Homemakers are here to provide their annual Food Preservation workshop on Sept. 4 from 6 to 8 p.m. This is a hands-on preservation experience. The basics of canning, which method is safe, what equipment to use and how to perform each step will be taught. Freezing for the highest quality and safest product and methods to successful pickling.

Each participant will leave with the recipes and produce that were used during the workshop.
