There are still about 100 local children who may go without Christmas gifts this year - unless REINdear is able to identify more donors and fill in the gap.

Montgomery County Youth Service Bureau's REINdear program is currently still in need of donors for their growing list of children needing holiday gift assistance. The organization has enough donors for the majority of the list, but does not want any child to wake up to no gifts under the tree.

"Montgomery County is an incredibly giving community," REINdear Program Manager Jennifer White said. "They have always helped us meet the needs of the children in our community. This year we simply have more need than ever."

REINdear (Reaching Everyone In Need) is Montgomery County's only holiday gift assistance program. The program receives referrals from several social service organizations in the community of families who need gift assistance for their children during the holidays. The program then matches the children with community donors who will purchase new gifts for the child. The donor is asked to buy two items from the child's wish list and two items from the child's need list.

If you, your business, your small group, your Bible study, or your church is interested in taking names of children who need assistance, please contact Jennifer White at 362-0694 ext. 16 or at jennifer@mcysb.org.
