Six booked in Parke County meth bust

WAVELAND-Indiana State Police Troopers from the Putnamville District Meth Lab Suppression Team arrested six residents of Montgomery County on Thursday after locating an active methamphetamine lab in the bed of a pickup truck and one in the trunk of an abandoned car, as well as just over 10 grams of finished product in rural Parke County.
Troopers also recovered four long guns and two handguns with one of the long guns having the serial numbers filed off. The residence was located at 6160 North Saddleclub Road in northeastern Parke County.
Six individuals, all from Montgomery County were arrested and placed in the Putnam County Jail with charges of manufacturing methamphetamine, B felony; possession of meth D felony; illegal storage of anhydrous, D felony; dumping controlled waste, D felony. Those arrested were: Larry Kelly, 54, of Waveland (owner of residence); Jared Mashburn, 31, Darlington; Roger Thayer, 57, Crawfordsville; Jess Cook, 27, Waveland; Greta Harris, 41, Waveland; and Timmy Hodges, 51, Crawfordsville.
Kelly was charged additionally with felony possession of a firearm with altered serial number and maintaining a common nuisance, D felony.
Mashburn, Thayer, Cook, Harris, and Hayes were additionally charged with visiting a common Nuisance, A misdemeanor.
Mashburn was also charged with felony possession of a firearm by a convicted violent felon.
