If you’re in need of ServSafe Food Protection Manager Certification training, the time is approaching for you. The Montgomery County Health Department is sponsoring a course on Feb. 27 from 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. The exam will be Feb. 28 from 9:30 a.m. to noon. Both sessions will be held in the Crawfordsville District Public Library and free parking is available in the rear.
The National Restaurant Association ServSafe Manager 6th edition will be the only text used for the class and the exam. The student must order the text and exam answer form. Registration forms, fees and information on ordering the text are available at the Montgomery County Health Department; 110 W South Blvd. Crawfordsville, IN 47933 Preregistration is required the class size is limited. The ServSafe Food Protection Manger Certification is a nationally recognized and accredited program. Certification is for five years. Participants learn why every employee is a key to safe food, how to prevent cross-contamination, how to use time and temperature control for safe food and the importance of cleaning and sanitation. Indiana requires that all food establishments have a certified food safety manager.
