Tyler Davidson Smith and Katelyn Nicole Flora exchanged wedding vows on November 21, 2015, at Hanging Rock Christian Assembly with Mike Whitacre and Kurt Flora, father of the bride, officiating.  The bride is the daughter of Kurt and Saundra Flora, New Market, and granddaughter of Bethan Buckley, Burlington, Betty Flora, Kokomo, and great granddaughter of Pauline Guge, Burlington. The groom is the son of Tom and Kim Smith, Crawfordsville, IN, and the grandson of Mary Ann Davis, Crawfordsville.

 

Maid of Honor was Britney Flora, Lincoln, Ill., sister of the bride.  Matron of Honor was Kari Smith-Jones, Westfield, sister of the groom.  Bridesmaids were Kelsey Schmidt, Atlanta, Ill., Jenna Milton, Heyworth, Ill., Riley Furman, Raleigh, NC, and Cassidy Strohl, Heyworth, Ill.

 

Best Man was Adam Everett, Joplin, MO, groomsmen were Derek Jones, Westfield, brother-in-law of the groom, Nathan Hazel, Evansville, Tyler Sickmeyer, San Diego, CA, David O'Malley, Champaign, Ill., and Troy Delano, Indianapolis. 

 

Flower girls were Olivia and Ava Jones, Westfield, nieces of the groom.  Isaac Jones, Westfield, nephew of the groom was the ring bearer. 

 

The wedding reception hosted by the bride's parents, was held at the Family Life Center at Hanging Rock Christian Assembly and catered by the Beef House.  Serving at the reception were James and Scheli Abraham, J.T. and Dawn Rusk, and Scott and Mamie Gable.  The groom's uncle, Rick French, Avon, IN, was the Master of Ceremonies at the reception. The groom's parents hosted a rehearsal dinner at the Beef House, Covington. 

 

The groom recorded the song played during the wedding processional.  The couple chose a unity cross, a multi-piece sculpture that is assembled during the ceremony representing how the two become one, followed by their first communion.  Charms on the bride's bouquet included pictures in memory of grandparents, Bill and Jo Smith, Charles Davis, Jim Guge, and Ned Flora. 

 

Flowers were prepared by Milligans, Crawfordsville.  The wedding cake was made by Kay Buccel, Heyworth, Ill.  Ray Hart, Crawfordsville, was the videographer.  James Walters, cousin of bride, Indianapolis, was the photographer. 

 

The bride graduated from Heyworth High School and is currently attending Ivy Tech pursuing a Business Administration degree and a substitute teacher for the South Montgomery School Corporation.  The groom graduated from Southmont High School, received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Youth Ministry/Religion from Lincoln University and a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Mass Communications from the University of Illinois.  Tyler is the Youth Minister at New Hope Christian Church and a Sportswriter for Indy Sports Legends covering the Pacers and IU Hoosiers basketball, and the Cubs Insider. 

 

Kari Jones, Michele Turcich, Melissa Mason, Scheli Abraham, and ladies of the New Market Christian Church hosted prenuptial showers.

 

Following a trip to Punta Cana, Dominican Republic, the couple reside in Crawfordsville.
