Beulah Lorene (Grimes) Allgood, 94, Russellville, passed away Friday, March 10, 2017 in Indianapolis.
She was born Aug. 26, 1922 in Putnam County to the late Eugene and Lula (Hester) Grimes.
After graduating from high school in 1940, she married Burley Forrest Allgood Sr. He passed away in 1984. Mrs. Allgood worked as a cook for many years. She also was a caregiver for many people. She enjoyed making cinnamon rolls and delivering them each week for her special friends. She had a fantastic touch at decorating, and adding personal touches to everything. She was a member of the Easter Star, Ladies Aid, Heavenly Sunshine, Russellville Community Church, and was a founder of Browns Valley Baptist Church.
Survivors include six children, Judy Allgood of Indianapolis, Burley (Vicki) Allgood Jr. of Waveland, Gene (Pam) Allgood of Brownsburg, David Allgood of Brazil, Patricia (Steve) Keller of Indianapolis, and Tenna (Darrell) Strohl of Coatesville; 16 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; and five siblings, John Grimes, Randall Grimes, David Grimes, Freda Wiatt and Katie Kelly.
Funeral services are scheduled for 3 p.m. Tuesday, March 14 at Machledt & Servies Funeral Home in Waveland with Pastor Paul Zurcher officiating. Family and friends may pay their respects two hours prior to service.
