Helen Spitznagel, 96, Linden, passed away Friday, March 17, 2017 at Whitlock Place.
Born Aug. 4, 1920 in Marshall, she was the daughter of Edgar Fulwider and Minnie Cooper Fulwider.
She graduated from Marshall High School in 1938 and spent most of her life as a homemaker. She married Edward W. “Pete” Spitznagel in 1949. He passed away on Sept. 11, 1992. At the age of 75, she went to work at Crawford’s Grocery as a cashier, where she enjoyed her time and everyone loved her.
Survivors include a daughter, Jane (Travis) Lewis of Crawfordsville; a son, John (Lynne Krug) Spitznagel of Crawfordsville; three grandchildren, Treg Lewis of Crawfordsville, Jonathoon Spitznagel of London and Ashleigh (Geno) Vincent of Milwaukee, Wisc.; two great-grandchildren, Kaleigh Vincent and Cheyenne Vincent.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents; brothers; and sisters.
There will be no public services. She will be laid to rest at Linden Cemetery.
