Athens Arts Salon One!opened with a Preview Party and reception at the Athens Arts Gallery. If you missed it, the following link: offers a peek. However, nothing matches seeing it in person so please visit and invite friends. Salon One! runs daily through October 27.

The Salon's success is due to the generous support of the Montgomery County Community Foundation as well as numerous talented artists and volunteers. Linda Brady of the Art League of Montgomery County added her expertise in organizing and finding volunteers for the many and varied tasks required. Michael Atwell, director of Wabash College Galleries, offered his knowledge and experience by judging the wide array of art for the awards. Nuthatch provided lively music thereby creating a festive atmosphere. We are also grateful to all who've pledged to purchase art during the Salon and to those who've found something special since the opening.

Salon One attracted visitors not only from our community, but from numerous neighboring communities. We sincerely hope you will visit before the show closes. Again, thank you to everyone who has made this such a success.
