Flower Lovers say thank you

The Flower Lovers Garden Club would like to thank many people who made our recent Garden and Arts Walk a success.
The home/garden owners: Steve and Sondra Stout, Scott Molin and Sally Evans, Jill Bowling and Roger Thomas, Patrick and Chris White, Dick and Lori Chadd, Bill and Pam McIntyre, Maryann Kinbaum and Deb King of the General Lew Wallace Study/Museum. They all worked very hard and it certainly showed. We are so grateful to you for sharing your gardens with our community and those who visited from other towns. Without your efforts and cooperation there wouldn't be a Garden Walk. We have had lots of positive feedback and your efforts were noticed and appreciated. Thank you so much.
We'd also like to thank the businesses who sold tickets for us: Milligan's Flowers and Gifts, Flowers 'n Things, ProGreen Garden Center, Davidson's Greenhouse, Homestead Greetings and Gifts, Montgomery County Visitors Tourism Commission and the Crawfordsville Public Library.
Our "added attractions" were enjoyed by everyone this year and we appreciate them giving their time to help our cause. Musicians Jum Swift, Kenn Clark and Clayton Steel; artists Alice Harpel and John Oilar; Lil' Sweetums Cupcakery; Nancy Prechel and Progreen Prairie Scents.
Thank you to Town and Country Rental for the donation and placement of their advertising sign and to F.C. Tucker Carter Hess Group for advertising our walk on their electric sign. We are also very grateful for the assistance of Tina McGrady and Amanda Spires of the Journal Review and to Frank Phillips and Neil Burk of The Paper of Montgomery County. Your guidance and cooperation were invaluable and our attendance reflected your attention to our event.
Thank you to County Market for their generous donation of bottled water at all eight gardens. It was enjoyed by everyone on a very hot day.
Thanks also to our hard working memebers. We're a small club and everyone has to pitch in. We especially appreciate the liaisons who worked closely with the garden owners: Janet Hook, Ruby Burkhart, Marilyn Nunan, Becky Hankins, Terri Trinkle, Betty Carver, Pat Porterfield and Sandy Lewein; and to Marlene Simonds for heading up our plant market.
We are very grateful for a wonderful day of weather with no storms and home everyone enjoyed a nice Sunday in Crawfordville. We'll do it again in 2015.
