Dear Editor,

In response to Mr. Utley's letter of Aug. 11 in The Paper of Montgomery County: No one can help but be appreciative of a volunteer.

However, I am getting tired of the promotional bragging about MCED, Montgomery County Economic Development. Shouldn't it stand on its own merit?

So what if you stopped the promotional bragging? No problem. You tell what MCED has accomplished and what they are doing now. Don't forget to mention the cost to the county recently and over the years.

Nothing against the MCED office. Montgomery County, I believe, is a hard sell. Lebanon and Lafayette are too close and both on a much better route, prime locations.

Sincerely,

Bill Reed
