North Montgomery continued to show their late season improvement Monday when they hosted Conference foe Tri-West.

Unfortunate for the Chargers, the Bruins found the back of the net with just over five minutes remaining to walk out of Linden with a 3-2 victory.

  • North claims soccer victory
    Monday, August 31, 2015 10:52 PM

    He bent it like Beckham.

Corwyn Hall watched as his ball bent past the goalie’s hands and hit the top right corner of the net.

This goal finalized North’s lead putting them up 3-2.

But, first . . . the beginning of the game.

How to describe the first 30 minutes of the North/South boys’ soccer game last night: chaotic.

Mounties and Chargers alike ran up and down the field as shot after shot either soared past goalies or were stopped dead in its tracks. North came out firing as they had a few potential breaks to start but each time offsides.

  • Chargers lose speed in second half

Jaron Wolf heads the ball away from Western Boone’s defender. Going into the half, both teams faced a prospect of 0-0 and a tie on the day. However, the second half veered into the Stars favor as they scored five goals during the second. North’s next game is none other than the Southmont Mounties on Monday.
