Crawfordsville will look to get back into the win column Friday night when they host the Lebanon Tigers for Homecoming night.

Lebanon’s (4-2, 3-1 SAC) only setbacks this season have come at the hands of Boone County rival Zionsville, 55-54 and Tri-West, last week at Lucas Oil Stadium, 56-48.

The game started out as a slug fest.

Alex Parsons started the game off with a quick hop into the endzone. The Tigers responded immediately after to end in a tie after the first half.

The second quarter saw even more action. The Tigers delivered another slug but soon after the Chargers slugged right back with an 11 yard pass to Banta.

At the end of the first half the Tigers took a 21-13 lead.

The Sagamore Athletic Conference survived opening night of the football season with a decent 5-3 record -- however, the conference's lone state-ranked team fell from the top spot in Indiana.

Tri-West came into Friday's showdown ranked No. 1 in Class 3A. West Lafayette was ranked seventh, so something had to give. That turned out to be the Bruins' defense as the Red Devils scored 43 points en route to a 43-23 lopsided victory.
