The North Montgomery softball team fell short in their third conference game moving to 0-8, 0-3 SAC. Joy Shirar went 2-for-2 and Vic Neideffer and Cheyenne Warren had a hit apiece.

The Crawfordsville softball team (0-7, 0-3 SAC) hung on to a close Western Boone game until they slowly inched away with the win.

Michaela French went 2-for-4 with a double to lead the Athenians.

“This is the best all-around game we've played,” Athenian coach Britney Carpenter said. “We never want to leave with a loss, but we are definitely leaving on a positive tonight.”

The Crawfordsville tennis team won their third dual match against Northview with No. 1 singles and the doubles team taking the victories.

“We are excited about the win,” Athenian coach Marina Cooper said. “Everyone played with a lot of heart today.”

The Mounties competed versus McCutcheon and Twin Lakes. The boys finished tied for second with Twin Lakes.
