Crawfordsville's boys' tennis team defeated McCutcheon, 4-1, in a home match played at Wabash College.

The only team point the Athenians did not win was the No. 3 singles match in which Logan Hayes was one game away from forcing a third set, before he had to retire due to an injury.

"The guys started strong and I'm convinced that made all the difference today," Crawfordsville head coach Ian Leonard said. "Logan had the wind blown out of his sails early on, but he showed some perseverance in fighting back in the second set before the injury."

Crawfordsville (2-0) will kick off a long road trip starting Monday at Benton Central.
