Kale Galloway made the ceremonial first serve Thursday.
LINDEN-Prior to North Montgomery's home match against Fountain Central on Thursday, Charger head coach Ric Walke presented a check for more than $1,000 to the family of Kale Galloway. Kale is a 6-year-old that is battling cancer and together the Chargers and Mustangs raised the funds by selling SmashCancer T-shirts.

When the teams hit the courts, it was all North Montgomery. They won in straight sets at every position.

Nelson Harpham, Luke Weliever and Devan Plant were winners at singles.

Tyler Swick and Mitch Merica teamed up at No. 1 doubles, as did Collin Denham and Zach Walke at No. 2 doubles.

The Chargers (2-2) will play host to Benton Central, Rockville and Turkey Run on Saturday for their invitational.
