And the team of Simms, Lucas Turner, Reid Fouty, and Andrew Chapai did the same in the 4x800 m relay (9:12.0).
The girls got a huge boost from the field events. Alexa Richardson won the long jump (14'11.75") and the shot put (34'3.5"). Kylee Norman won the high jump (4'4") and Sierra Cummins did the same in the discus throw (84'5").
Brittany Barrett got two wins; one each in track and field. She won the pole vault (7') and the 300 m hurdles (52.5). Jessi Shelton also picked up two wins for the Lady Mounties. One each in the 100 m high hurdles (16.6) and the 100 m dash (13.1).
"It was tough to run against excellent competition two nights in a row," said head coach Marvin Walters. "Our athletes compete well. Once again, we had some outstanding efforts as we prepare for the Montgomery County Meet on Friday at Crawfordsville."
