WEST LEBANON – The Crawfordsville softball team hit the road Monday and narrowly missed a win at Seeger. The Lady Patriots used a 7-run sixth to win 10-8.
Crawfordsville rallied from a 3-0 deficit in the first to score a run in the second, four in the third and three in the fourth. The bats fizzled after that and six errors contributed to Seeger’s rally.
Lauren Kellerman, Cali Saunders, and Olivia Barnett each had a pair of hits. Mia Stadler hit safely three times. Saunders and Stadler each notched two RBIs.
Stadler took the loss, but gave up just three earned runs from nine hits.
The Athenians (2-8) were defeated by Western Boone Tuesday night, 19-3.
