Distant thunder and some rain drops delayed the start of Crawfordsville’s Sagamore Athletic Conference tennis match with Lebanon Wednesday afternoon. When things did get started, the action was back and forth with the Tigers prevailing 3-2.
Lilly Bushong and Alli Wagner battled to victory at No. 2 and No. 3 singles for Crawfordsville. Bushong won in two sets, 6-3, 6-3, as did Wagner, 6-3, 6-1.
In the only three-setter of the night, Emmy Hale and Emily West captured the first set at No. 1 doubles for Crawfordsville 6-2. Lebanon’s Katie Hart and Natalie Benavides took the next two sets 6-2, 6-0.
Crawfordsville (2-4, 1-2 SAC) will now prepare for the Athenian Booster Invitational on Saturday.
