Boys' soccer All-Conference

The Sagamore Athletic Conference All-Conference teams were announced for boys soccer recently. Tri-West won the conference with a 7-0 record. Crawfordsville was fifth at 3-3-1 with Southmont (1-6) and North Montgomery (0-7) rounding out the league.
First team selections from Montgomery County include Nathaniel Busenbark and Michael Minks from Crawfordsville, Mikal Farabee from Southmont and Braiden Slavens from North Montgomery.
Michael Nordenbrock and Felipe Wilson were second team selections from Crawfordsville. Devin Miller, of Southmont, and Jordan Corey, of North Montgomery, were second team selections as well.
Bruins sweep Chargers

The boys' and girls' soccer teams of North Montgomery were defeated by Tri-West Monday. The boys lost to the No. 2 Bruins by a final of 10-0 at home. The girls lost 6-0. The boys (2-7, 0-5 SAC) will travel to Crawfordsville Wednesday. The girls (3-8, 0-5 SAC) play host to Crawfordsville Thursday.
Crawfordsville boys and girls sweep North Putnam

North Putnam visited Crawfordsville Saturday for a soccer double header. The Athenians won both matches. The girls won 4-2 and the boys capped the day with an 8-0 win.
For the girls, Hannah Whicker scored two goals and made an assist. Maddie Hudson and Reilly Dunham also scored. The Athenians led just 1-0 at the half, but used three big goals after the intermission to win it. Hudson tallied an assist, as did Paige Schueren and Krystyn Flynn.
Bruin boys soccer wins opener

The Tri-West boys soccer team won their season opener on Thursday, 3-2 over Covenant Christian. They take on Indianapolis Northwest on Tuesday.
