Electoral College remains important to U.S.
The League of Women Voters has taken the position that our Constitutional system for electing the President of the United States (the "Electoral College") should be abolished and replaced with the so-called "National Popular Vote Compact." Their goal is to always elect the President by the majority of popular vote nationwide. But they fail to mention this was never the intent of the Constitution1, and for very good reasons.

Voter ID and the Secretary of State race
One of the most important elements of a free society is a free and fair election process. Election integrity ensures it is easy for citizens to vote, but hard to cheat. The Indiana Secretary of State is responsible for enforcing election integrity. Therefore when we voters go to the polls on November 4th, who we choose for Secretary of State is vitally important, especially this year when we consider the candidates and their support (or lack-thereof) for Indiana's voter photo ID law.

Taxation is not the same as investment
Government officials and bureaucrats sometimes claim that government spending on projects and programs should be thought of as an investment by the taxpayers. "Quality of life requires we invest on a government level to grow our community," they will say. Taxpayers should strongly reject this claim.
