Athena raises money for Wounded Warrior Project
Middle-age women and a few men were taking their time, walking, by the time they made their second circuit around the block at the Athena Sport & Fitness gym Saturday morning.

They started around the block, jogging, doing a "cadence" while their leader chanted out to them, like a drill sergeant in an old movie.

Church rises from ashes
Like the mythical phoenix, the Yountsville church building has risen from the ashes and a big celebration is planned for Sunday.

The metaphors are mixed; the phoenix was never real but the Yountsville church has been very real for more than a century.

The Yountsville building really did rise from the ashes of an electrical fire that destroyed the structure on Nov. 13, 2011.
