Body Farm raises money for sports program
WAYNETOWN - Are you looking for a scare and want to help support youth sports?

The Body Farm in Waynetown will open at the Waynetown Merchants Building located on the west side of town Friday and Saturday. Tours will take place from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.

Politics with a side of bacon
The upcoming legislative session will be dominated by the budget.

That was the message that came out of the Crawfordsville/Montgomery County Chamber of Commerce Legislative Breakfast Saturday morning at Wabash College.

State Sen. Phil Boots, along with State Reps. Tim Brown and Sharon Negele, updated the public on what they see happening in the upcoming session in Indianapolis.

Thrifty Supply closes
A Crawfordsville business has closed its doors for the final time.

After more than 50 years, Thrifty Supply closed earlier this month.

Thrifty Supply owner Debbie Lovold declined to comment on the closing Friday morning.

In 1951 Mary Decker was born out near Bal Hinch. Today she turns 99 and Friday she celebrated in grand fashion with friends and family at the Park and Rec center in Crawfordsville.

Crawfordsville Schools passes budget
The Crawfordsville School Board met in a 10 minute session Friday afternoon to pass the 2015 budget.

"It's not a lot different than what we levied in the past," Crawfordsville Superintendent Scott Bowling told the board.

Earth-shaking lesson
Thursday morning students at Hose Elementary School took part in an earth-shaking lesson.

The students, along with people from Indiana and 10 other states, took part in the Great Central U.S. ShakeOut. Great Central U.S. ShakeOut brings together participants from Alabama, Arkansas, Illinois, Indiana, Kansas, Kentucky, Missouri, Mississippi, Ohio, Oklahoma, and Tennessee, to practice actions to take during an earthquake.

Franciscan holding Diabetes Day Nov. 1
