March VSO Report

A busy February at the office! We handled 104 calls and welcomed 37 visitors. Service officer reports were delivered to the American Legion, DAV, and VFW during their members’ meetings this month. Thanks to generous donations from the American Legion, VFW, the 8 & 40, and Dan Goff, our DAV veteran transport vans have been upgraded with new med kits and roadside emergency packs. These vans are vital for transporting veterans to appointments — if you’re a veteran needing a ride, please call us at (765) 361-4133.

Our office hours are Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to noon and 1 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. Appointments are preferred to ensure staff availability, as I want to make sure I’m here to assist you. We can support you with disability claims, education benefits, vocational training benefits, or death benefits for qualified veterans.

Remember, every day is a good day to honor our service members. In March, we celebrate some special days: March 13 is K-9 Veterans Day, honoring all service dogs; March 25 is Medal of Honor Day; and March 29 is Vietnam Veterans Day. Let’s continue to show our appreciation!
