Boys & Girls Club Expand Summer Camp

The Boys & Girls Club of Montgomery County is excited to announce its 2026 Summer Camp lineup, featuring both its traditional Summer Camp for elementary-aged youth and an all-new Tween/Teen Summer Camp designed specifically for middle and high school students.

Running June 1 through July 31, the Club’s Summer Camp for ages 5–12 will provide a fun, safe, and engaging environment for youth Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. Camp activities include arts and crafts, STEM projects, gym and games, summer reading, field trips and swimming opportunities.

“Our Summer Camp gives kids a place to learn, grow, stay active, and build friendships all summer long,” said Gina Haile, CEO of the Boys & Girls Club of Montgomery County. “Families need affordable, safe, high-quality summer care, and we are proud to provide experiences that keep youth engaged while school is out.”

In addition to the traditional camp, the Club is launching a brand-new Tween/Teen Summer Camp for students entering grades 6–12. Hosted in partnership with the Youth Service Bureau at 808 W. Pike Street in Crawfordsville, the program offers themed weekly camps focused on adventure, science, sports, music, life skills, and career readiness.

Weekly camp themes include:

  • Adventure Week (June 15-19, 10am-3:30pm) featuring trips to Slick City, Koteewi Aerial Adventure, Lebanon Water Park, Achaius Ranch, and Turkey Run
  • Discovery Week (June 22-26, 10am-3pm) with hands-on STEM activities, science experiments, and drone experiences
  • Game On! Sports Week (July 6-10, 10am-3pm) focused on teamwork, unique sports, and active fun
  • Music Immersion (July 13-17, 10am-3pm) using the Orff Schulwerk approach to combine music, movement, creativity, and performance
  • Life Skills & Career Readiness Week (July 20-24, 10am-3pm)  featuring VR career exploration, college tours, and real-world life skills activities

“This new tween and teen program fills an important need in our community,” Haile said. “Older youth deserve opportunities designed specifically for their age group with experiences that are exciting, meaningful, and help prepare them for the future. We are thrilled to offer camps that blend fun with real-world learning and exploration.”

Registration for both summer programs is now open. Families can register by contacting the Club directly at (765) 362-8912 or by visiting www.bgcmoco.org.
