Kervin Nathaniel Curtis

June 9, 2000 - Sept. 26, 2021 Kervin Nathaniel Curtis, 21, Crawfordsville, passed away on Sunday, Sept. 26, 2021 in Fountain County. He was born on June 9, 2000 to Jeffrey and Holly (Hathaway) Curtis. Mr. Curtis graduated from Southmont High School in 2018 and went on to graduate from Ohio Technical College in 2020 and received a degree in diesel mechanics. He worked at RPM in Lafayette and INDOT Crawfordsville as a diesel mechanic. He married Angel Trisha (Mason) Murdock, Scheottle, Bodenhamer, Curtis on July 22, 2021. He enjoyed archery/hunting, spending time with his family and friends, farming and setting off fireworks with his friends on the Fourth of July. March 23, 1974 – Nov. 22, 2021 Jaye Rivers, 47, Crawfordsville, passed away peacefully at home on Monday, Nov. 22. She was born on March 23, 1974, the daughter of Michael Goda and Pamela Gwynn. She was a loving mother of seven children. Mrs. Rivers enjoyed spending time with her family, kayaking and campfires. She was a graduate of North Montgomery High School. She had a passion for journalism, music, art and cooking. Oct. 21, 1963 - Nov. 19, 2021 Mark R. Paddack passed away on Nov. 19, 2021, at the age of 58.   He was born to Robert H. and Shirley A. Paddack.   He graduated from North Montgomery High School in 1981. He married Margaret Loman in 2000; she survives. He worked as a mechanic at Horner Pontiac Buick GMC, Stetler Chevrolet, Surb’s Tire and Larry Cummings Olds-GMC throughout his career.   Survivors include his mother; a step-son, Christopher Loman; three sisters, Pam (Clyde) Rager, Beth (Ron) Watts and Sally (Scott) Molin; three nieces; one nephew; and several great-nieces and great-nephews.   He is preceded in death by his father; and two nephews, Michael and Colby Evans. Born May 1, 1964 in Scottsville, Ky., she was the daughter of Gilford Carver and JoAnn Lonsberry Carver.   Her family moved to Beech Grove and she would attend Beech Grove High School. She married Michael Peterson on May 15, 1999. He survives. Mrs. Peterson was a homemaker who loved her kids and her grandkids. She would spoil her grandkids every chance she got. Jan. 6, 1935 - Nov. 20, 2021 Walton L. Randles, of Crawfordsville, passed away at home Saturday morning with his family by his side.  He was 86. Born Jan. 6, 1935 in State Line City, Ind., he was the son of Lowell Randles and Hazel Vibbert Randles. He graduated from Covington High School. He married Cathie Hamilton on Jan. 6, 1996. She survives. Mr. Randles was a member of the Eagles, Masonic Lodge #50, and Eastern Star #97. He served in the National Guard. He worked for Interstate Sand and Gravel, Covington Community Schools and then became maintenance supervisor for the Crawfordsville School System. She was born in Indianapolis on Aug. 7, 1943, daughter of the late Boyd O. and Alma Banta Rogers. Mrs. Kunkel was a 1961 graduate of Coal Creek Central High School. She then attended Rudea’s School of Beauty Culture in Lafayette and worked as a beautician for several years. She returned to college and earned her LPN at Ivy Tech.
