The Montgomery County Health Department, through its ongoing contact investigation of Montgomery County’s only positive case of COVID-19 so far, has learned that the patient attended a private event on March 15 at the Eagles Club, 920 E. South Blvd., Crawfordsville.

A department spokesperson said the risk of exposure is relatively low but out of an abundance of caution they would like those in attendance to please call the Montgomery County Health Department at (765) 364-7255 within the next 48 hours for a brief interview. Because of high call volumes, callers who reach voicemail are asked to leave a message, which will be returned as soon as possible.

The first case of novel coronavirus in a Montgomery County resident was confirmed Tuesday. The adult patient remains hospitalized in another county.
