In honor of Columbus Day, all Crawfordsville and Montgomery County offices will be closed Monday, Oct. 10. There will also be no trash or recycle pickup Monday, with a double pickup occurring Tuesday. However, Crawfordsville Electric Light & Power offices do not follow the city schedule for Columbus Day and those offices will be open. The Crawfordsville Yard Waste Site will be open Saturday and Sunday for regular hours (8 a.m. to 4 p.m.).

The Post Office will also be closed to observe the holiday as will the libraries, banks, and Bureau of Motor Vehicle branches. All healthcare services and shopping establishments in town will operate under regular business hours. Pharmacies will also be open for regular hours. Check with your pharmacy for their regular hours of business.

Restaurants around town will also be open and ready to serve. The Paper of Montgomery County will not be published in observance of Columbus Day, but will be back to regular publication Tuesday.
