Heather Perdue, the Director of Philanthropy at the IU Health Foundation visited with the Crawfordsville Kiwanis this week.
With the goal of “Making Indiana the Healthiest State in the Country” Mrs. Perdue is working with the foundation that supports sixteen hospitals in the Indianapolis suburban area. The Foundation began in January of 2018 by integrating other foundations from the hospitals that are now part of the IU Health network. IU Health is now the largest healthcare organization in the state with over 33,000 employees.
As part of their philanthropy work Mrs. Perdue talks about the three “P’s”, People, Progress & Partnership:
People – Attracting and Training the top clinical and leadership talent to their hospitals, providing patient assistance and team member support and delivering patient-centered, whole person care.
Progress – Providing research and innovation to move Indiana to one of the healthiest states in the country.
Partnerships – Together with the IU School of Medicine and others they work with public and private organizations to address Indiana’s most critical health concerns.
Crawfordsville Kiwanis celebrates with great informational speakers like this every Thursday at Noon at the Crawfordsville District Public Library. Come on out and visit with us. Even enjoy a free lunch.
