Since June 13, Crawfordsville Police have been working on finding missing people. The good news for one family is that one of the three cases police have been handling has been found unharmed. The other two remain a mystery.
Crawfordsville Police, through city spokesperson Barry Lewis, reported Monday morning that Dejuan Sechrest was located. CPD Det. Lt. Bob Rivers said the 36-year-old Sechrest was reported safe and unharmed by the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police.
For the families of James “Jimmy” Frank Popp of Crawfordsville and Rachael Martin of Parke County, there is no new news.
Popp has been missing since June 7. The 41-year-old white male is bald, is 5-7, 195 and has brown eyes. Rivers said that police have heard rumors that Popp was in Indianapolis but had nothing solid to confirm that.
In the case of Martin, she was reported missing in Parke County on July 2. Crawfordsville Police were contacted on July 5 because the 23-year-old is 5-3, medium build and has red hair. She works at Great Clips in Crawfordsville and was reported driving a blue 2003 Ford Windstar minivan.
Rivers said that to have three adults missing in a short time frame is unusual. He stressed that neither Popp nor Martin are wanted by police.
