The Animal Welfare League of Montgomery County is in need this winter. They shelter and feed lots of homeless four-legged friends, but they also need our help from the community.
As the weather gets colder there is an even bigger need for warm blankets to keep paws warm and food in the form of wet cat food, cat and kitten chow and soft dog treats and chow. If you have any usable blankets lying around the house or just want to do your part to keep these fur babies warm; head over to The Animal Welfare League of Montgomery County and bring some goodies with you. You may even meet the furry friend of your dreams.
Speaking of furry friends of your dreams, there are some lovely candidates on our front page. Queenie is a black and white lab / pit mix girl with the largest brown eyes ever. Moose is a chocolate colored lab / pit mix boy with bundles and bundles of energy, coupled with a heart of gold. Queenie was a sweet and laid back girl who loved treats and head rubs and Moose was just as amazing with his tug-o-war skills and big kisses.
The AWL is open by appointment only to keep the staff healthy and able to care for the animals in their care, and masks are required for entry. Call (765) 362-8846 to make an appointment.
