In the city of Crawfordsville, residents now have a variety of choices when it comes to paying their sewer and stormwater bills.
Those residents with city utilities can mail their bill payments to P.O. Box 935, Crawfordsville IN 47933, or they can bring their payments in to the utility window in the Crawfordsville city building at 300 E. Pike Street. The utility office is open from Monday-Friday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. After hours, residents can drop off their utility payments in a drop box just outside the main entrance to the city building.
The city has established a pay-by-phone option for residents to pay their stormwater and wastewater bills. Residents can call 1-844-562-1960 to make payments over the phone; there is a fee of $3.20 for credit or debit cards or $1.90 for payments via electronic check (ACH/EFT).
The city also offers online utility payment through the city website, www.crawfordsville.net. When users reach the site, they can click on the Departments link and choose Utility Billing, then click on the “Online Utility Bill Payment Now Available” link at the bottom of the page. This will take users to an InvoiceCloud portal, verified by the city, where they can view and pay their stormwater and wastewater bills online. This service charges a convenience fee of $2.25 for credit card transactions or $0.95 for payments via electronic check.
Although some residents have found third-party bill pay services online, these services usually charge higher user fees and can be much slower in getting payments in to the utility office, which may result in unintended late fees or shutoffs. Utility administration suggests that if residents need to reconnect their water utilities or are in danger of being shut off, they should call the utility billing office at 765-364-5192 before using an online payment method.
