* Participants will learn the fundamentals of carving an image into Wonder-cut block, inking with a printmaking brayer and creating multiple relief prints on mulberry papers using both a press and baren. Participants will also have an option of creating a thematic collage using their prints.

Plein-Air Painting by Jerry Smith
Date: Saturday, Sept. 8

Location: Lane Place-Meet at Gazebo.

Materials: Participants will need to bring their own outdoor set-up and materials - any medium.

*Class will start with some general plein-air advice and a short demonstration, followed by a day of painting around the Lane Place property. We'll then gather at the gazebo at 2:00 for a discussion and critique of the day's work.

Mask Making by Mary Lou Dawald
Dates: Saturdays, Sept. 15 and 22
Time: 10 a.m. to noon

Ages: 8 – 80
*Session One: Students will create a mask over their own face with plaster gauze. (Arrangements can be made for those with allergies.) *Session Two: Students will paint and embellish their masks. Projects will be taken home at the end of the second session. Please note: Students must attend both sessions to allow drying time for the plaster.

Acrylic Dirty Pour by Carol Baird

*Learn tools and tricks for presenting your art in a polished, professional manner. Stacy will show how to measure and cut your mat for artwork on paper. She will also show you how to assemble various kind of frames used with drawing and painting. *Materials needed for framing: Contact Stacy Bogan in advance ( regarding a piece that you would like to frame. Stacy will advise you on what to purchase and she will have tools ready for framing your artwork that day. You will be responsible for bringing your supplies.
