Mayor Todd Barton and the owners of K1ds Count, LLC participated in an official groundbreaking of their newest location at 2303 Phil Ward Blvd on Thursday. According to a press release from the city of Crawfordsville, the Brownsburg-based company has quickly outgrown their leased space in Crawfordsville and is building a 9,500 square foot facility. The new space will allow them to add ABA, speech, occupational, and physical therapy to all children on or off the autism spectrum. The new clinic will consist of three classrooms, individual therapy rooms, two gyms, a kitchen, observation room, a playground, and outpatient wing. To support this growth, K1ds Count will add approximately 30 new jobs to the existing 22 currently employed in Crawfordsville. To assist in their expansion, the City approved a 5-year real property tax abatement earlier this year.
“Anytime we can assist in the growth of one of our companies we will,” said Barton, “K1ds Count is meeting a need in our community, so it’s a “win/win” for everyone. As a result, helping them turn dirt is cause for celebration and when completed, will be a great addition to our Crawfordsville Commerce Park.”
