The Crawfordsville Kiwanis Club is once again offering the Pat Cline Service Scholarships for graduating seniors.  As in past years, the Kiwanis awards a service scholarship to one graduating senior from each of the three Montgomery County High Schools.  This year the award has increased to $1,250 per scholarship.
The Pat Cline Service Scholarships are named for Pat Cline, who was a journalist, editor and Viet Nam war correspondent from Crawfordsville.  Ms. Cline was the winner of numerous awards including a Pulitzer Prize nomination, Sagamore of the Wabash and Paul Harris Fellow.  Ms. Cline was very active in the community, providing service and leadership to the Visitor’s Bureau, Order of the Eastern Star, Woodland Heights Christian Church, Montgomery County Cultural Foundation, Montgomery County Historical Society, Indiana Women’s Press Club, Friends of the Library and the Strawberry Festival.  Admired for her service and high standards of integrity as a journalist and person, she is honored by the Crawfordsville Kiwanis Club by providing these scholarships to graduating seniors who exemplify the Kiwanis ideal of service to the community.
