Q: What has five thousand, five hundred and five feet but doesn’t walk, run or dance?
A: The runway at Crawfordsville Regional Airport!
Lori Curless, the Manager at the Crawfordsville Regional Airport spoke to the Crawfordsville Kiwanis Thursday to explain the importance of our airport to Montgomery County and the region.
Averaging 18 take-offs and landings per day the Crawfordsville Regional Airport has an economic impact on the region of almost $80 million per year. With a heated hanger, fuel facilities, 24-hour aircraft maintenance and flight instruction this airport is essential to Montgomery County businesses and helps to support 225 jobs in the area with almost $13 million in payroll Curless said.
Take the time to go out and see the beautiful terminal and grounds and watch the planes take off and land. If you want to hear more speakers like Curless come on out and visit the Crawfordsville Kiwanis Club any Thursday at Noon at the Crawfordsville District Public Library.
