Paligraf's truck was located in Montgomery County
A Fishers man with property in Montgomery County was found dead after a single car accident near State Road 32 and County Road 900 East. Philip M. Paligraf, 55, was located on Sunday after emergency personnel were informed that someone located Paligraf's truck.

The Montgomery County Sheriff's Office was contacted on Saturday by deputies at the Hamilton County Sheriff's office in reference to a missing person's case that originated in Hamilton County. Deputies began the search of Paligraf's property on Saturday. The search continued on Sunday with family and friends of Paligraf joining to search the area. He was located in his vehicle where he was deceased early Sunday afternoon.

Montgomery County Sheriff Mark Casteel said in a release that it appeared Paligraf's vehicle left the roadway for an unknown reason and came to a rest in the heavily wooded area.

Police say Philip Paligraf never returned home after a trip to Crawfordsville on Saturday. He was last seen around 2 p.m. near Offield Monument Road in Crawfordsville.

The Indiana High School Athletic Association tweeted on Sunday evening regarding the death of Paligraf.

"Phil will be remembered as a true friend and supporter of the IHSAA and high school athletics in Indiana," was posted to the official account of IHSAA. "Known as a leader and consummate professional, Phil most recently served as local vice president with Comcast and was a former general manager of WTTV-4."

The investigation is on-going and is being conducted by the Montgomery County Sheriff's Office with assistance from the Indiana State Police and the Montgomery County Coroner. Agencies assisting are as follows: Indiana State Police, Crawfordsville Police, Indiana DNR, Montgomery County Emergency Management, Darlington Fire and STAR Ambulance. No further details are being released at this time.
