The second week in June is getting closer and that means the Crawfordsville Strawberry Festival is back, along with three days of great entertainment. This year’s signature entertainment features everything from great country music to some old style Las Vegas rock’n’roll. And like all entertainment at the festival, it’s free.
Friday evening, June 11, is sure to bring a big crowd for the music of Steve Trent and Small town. The talented musicians have been an area hit for many years and continues to perform the very best in country music. Trent and his band’s unique musical style have made them a fan favorite everywhere they’ve performed. The Crawfordsville Strawberry Festival is excited to welcome Steve Trent and Small Town to center stage beginning at 8:30 p.m. Come early and enjoy the festival before you set down in your lawn chair for an evening of great county music.
Saturday evening, June 12, will find Shawn Khush, known as “The Closest Thing to the King in Concert,” performing once again at the Festival. Since his last visit, he has performed all over the world. Many have seen him over the years as Elvis in the famous Las Vegas show “Legends in Concert.” He has traveled the world over introducing audiences everywhere to the music of Elvis and winning many awards in the process.
Khush portrayed Elvis in the hit TV miniseries “Shake, Rattle and Roll” on CBS and VH1 as well as HBO’s movie “Vinyl,” which was produced by Martin Scorsese and Mic Jagger. Make plans to attend his great, live performance on center stage beginning at 8:30 p.m. from the comfort of your favorite lawn chair.
