There’s a “Miracle on Whitlock” going on and it doesn’t even have anything to do with the old hospital or the Stellar program.

Trinity Mission men’s residence at 1101 Whitlock (just past the Boys & Girls Club and the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Department, is a place for those who are struggling with addiction and for others who want to join in the battle and need an opportunity to do so.

In order to increase awareness about the good work being done there – “the Miracle on Whitlock” – there is going to be an open house on July 23 from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. The event is child friendly and there will be plenty of games, a bouncy house, worship music, and a cornhole tournament. The tournament begins at 2:30. There’s a $20 per team entry fee and a $100 cash prize for the winner.

According to Joe Radzikowski, Director of Community Partnerships and Ministries for Trinity Life Ministry, the residence offers a 21-week residential program for men and the participants do not pay weekly or monthly fees. Revenue from the Trinity Mission Outlet Store (located at 121 W. Market St. in Crawfordsville), along with generosity of individuals, businesses and churches, help to keep the doors open. However, the residence is in need of food, linens, paper goods, cleaning supplies and volunteers.
