Nearly 60 Indiana University Kokomo students were honored for academic excellence in fields ranging from radiologic science and communications, to nursing and political science, with induction into honor societies. The honored students included seven selected as charter inductees for the campus’ newest honor society, Pi Sigma Alpha national political honor society.
Beta Gamma Sigma honorary for business
Twelve students earned induction into Beta Gamma Sigma honorary for business.
Undergraduates must be in the top 10 percent of their class to be inducted, while graduate students must be in the top 20 percent.
Graduate student inductees included Mohammed Alfaifi, Rayan Almofadda, and Mark Renken, Kokomo; and Nicole Wilcox, Sharpsville. Wilcox also earned the distinction as an undergraduate student.
Undergraduates inductees included Conner Norman, Crawfordsville; Shelby Beltz, Shelbi McKinley, Tearsten Munson, Shawn Pietrzyk, and Valerie Talbot, Kokomo; Taryn Stockberger, Rochester; and Austin Miller, Sweetser.
Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing
The School of Nursing inducted 18 students into the Alpha chapter of Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing.
