Janet (Thompson) Stuckey, age 74 of Crawfordsville passed away on Jan. 6, 2019 at St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis. She was born in Tuscaloosa, Alabama on Nov. 15, 1944 to the late Donald Eugene and Dorothy Jean (Beecher) Thompson.
Mrs. Stuckey graduated from Crawfordsville High School and graduated from Indiana University in 1965 with a degree in Political Science.
She married Randal Alan Stuckey on Aug. 28, 1965.
She committed her life to serving others and served on the original board of Halfway Home. She worked at St. Claire Hospital on the Generations unit for over ten years as a nurse’s aide.
Mrs. Stuckey was a member of the Presbyterian Church and attended New Hope Christian Church in Crawfordsville. She enjoyed reading, quilting, political science, and spending time with her dog.
Survivors include her husband, Randall Allan Stuckey of Crawfordsville; son, Jeff (Julie) Stuckey, of Crawfordsville; daughter, Kimberly Stuckey, of Crawfordsville; four grandchildren; Tressa Gordon, Samantha Gordan, Finnegan Stuckey and Mary Stuckey; great-grandson, Landon Burris; brother, Neil (Diane) Thompson of Florida; and her dog, Pappy.
Funeral services are scheduled to be at the Wabash Avenue Presbyterian Church, 307 S Washington St. in Crawfordsville on Monday, Jan. 14, 2019 from 12 p.m. till the time of the Memorial Service at 2 p.m. with Pastor John Van Nuys officiating.
Burial will follow at Oak Hill Mausoleum.
