Michael Wayne Hesler, 72 of Alamo passed away on Sunday, Dec. 2, 2018 at home while surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Crawfordsville on July 25, 1946 to the late Robert and Beauton (Sering) Hesler.
Mr. Hesler graduated from Crawfordsville High School and married the love of his life, Kathy (Stevens) Hesler on Nov. 28, 1980, who survives.
Throughout the years he worked at Sears, Midstates Steel and Wire, and Traction Auto Parts. He enjoyed fishing, woodworking, model trains, making metal miniatures, and spending time with his family.
Survivors include his wife, Kathy Hesler; two sons, Michael (Sheri) Hesler and Scott (Jennifer) Hesler; two daughters, Tami Hesler, and Kelly Cooper; a step son, Risty (Gee Soo) Thompson; a step daughter, Misty (Charlie) Lewis; aunt, Mary Jane Sering; a brother-in-law, Gary Bell; 17 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Vicki Bell and Chetra Hesler; and uncle Don Sering.
Funeral services are scheduled to be at the Ripley Township Fire Department on Sunday, Dec. 9, 2018 from 3p.m. to 5 p.m.
Burial of cremains will be at Alamo Cemetery at a later date.
