Nancy F. Nash of Crawfordsville passed away Monday morning at Franciscan Health. She was 88.
Born March 16, 1933 in Elnora, Ind., she was the daughter of Clifford Farris and Edith S. Park Farris.
She graduated from high school in Elnora and earned her bachelor’s degree from Indiana State. She then went to Purdue, where she earned her master’s degree. She married Raymond Nash on June 1, 1956. He passed away May 5, 2010.
Mrs. Nash came to Crawfordsville to teach home economics, which she did until her children were born. In 1978 she purchased the daycare that became known as Littleville, which she operated for 29 years. She was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church and the women’s group within the church. She was a former member of Zonta. She liked reading, flowers, gardening and loved kids.
Survivors include her daughter, Susan (Scott) Porter; son, David (Debbie) Nash; two grandsons, Matthew (Megan) Ford and Bradley Ford; great-grandchildren, Makenzie, Mason, Treyton, Remington, Riley, Madalyn and Bailey.
She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; grandson, Buddy Jones III; sister, Bonnie Gress; and brother, Milton Farris.
Services will be Saturday, April 10 at 11:30 a.m. at Burkhart Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. Saturday. After the service, she will be laid to rest at Oak Hill Cemetery North.
